Hi Chaps

I went to the Porsche Museum yesterday as I was in Stuttgart on business and got a late flight back. Had a good nose around and found Ferry Porsche's 914/8 - looked stunning as you'd imagine!

Also had a look in the workshop - I'd love to drive mine down and pick it up when its perfect, I fear I may need some lucky numbers first though!

I do love the steel roof on a 914/8 - they should have made it a standard option

The interesting thing about that car is that everybody believed it had a regular 908 engine installed – but it hasn't. I was there back in June when Jens was truly excited about the discovery that this car had a prototype 908 engine installed which was significantly different to the final design. The museum never knew until a former worker showed up asking if the museum would like some of the old paperwork he had accrued while working in the race shop. In it was a record of the engine installation in this 914/8, detailing the engine spec, etc. Every day, even for the Porsche museum, is a school day...

It's just a question of the right syntax.

If you press the Img button that gives you img and /img in square brackets. Then you put the link to the file between. The link has to be the url of the image, so will normally end with a file type such as .jpg.

I read somewhere that two were built, Ferry's was more powerful but not road legal and Piech's less powerful but road legal, or perhaps the other way around ?
