I like that they haven't out wide arches on it and that it looks totally stock - might be slightly under-tyred though with 350hp and those skinny things on it!

Why would you do that? What a bodgit and scarper merchant! That front will flex like hell because of what he's done. I don't quite understand why he's even done it. If it's supposed to be to allow the air from the oil cooler to escape it's a horrible solution that makes me wonder what other dodgy fundamental things he's done to ruin the car. With an open exit for the oil cooler you'll get rain,dust,dirt and anything else the road throws up filling up the boot. Not to mention the amount of crap that will be coming into the boot from the inner wings too. Major alarm bells go off in my head when I see bad bodging like that

It's a metal bulkhead. The front end architecture of a 914 is very different to that of a 911.

of course your right Keith, but it still is doing nothing for the integrity of the front end in an impact, let alone the crap that will fill the boot

Don't get me wrong Keith that 914 is a clean straight car. However, in even the smallest front impact that car will be a mess. I don't know anything about 911s but I do know about 914s, in particular where the strength and rigidity lies. Taking away that metal where he has will make it crumple like wet paper and flex badly in spirited cornering. Stop light drag racing in the U.S. Is one thing but European driving puts a car through different torsional stresses which that front will not take kindly too. The good news is it would be an easy fix, simply triangulate it from the top of one strut to the front of the suspension arm pickup on the opposite side. Do the same the other side. Sorted. However that still won't stop that boot getting messy as hell.

Also, the gearbox mounts are pushed way too far to the rear. Bearing in mind the additional weight of the v8 and the additional torque those gearbox mount ears will be prone to breaking or simply coming loose and dropping off the back. I can see that this was probably done because the v8 is pushed right up against the bulkhead but still.... It wouldn't take much to sort that out too.

Apart from that, it looks like fun, just not my cup of tea
