Talbot mirrors SOLD

Post by one-two »

I have a nice pair of Talbot Yorck mirrors that are surplus to requirements. I bought them on the site and will happily sell for what I paid, which was, I think, £220 plus p&p. They are in very good condition - I would guess they may be later remanufactures to the original design? - and complete with base gaskets. Let me know if they are of interest. Many thanks, Robert

Hi Angus, others will know more, but the more common pattern of Talbot mirror was, I believe, the Berlin. I would guess that was probably what would have been fitted to your car. The Yorck is a bit more swept back and sporty - a nice period option, but probably not fitted as orig equipment. As I say, others will know more - Andy, Mike? Best wishes, Robert

Thanks Robert. I'll see if anyone else comes along with some more info. Are they handed or can they be turned to fit either side?

Hi Angus, they are not handed - and there's quite a lot of adjustment in them. Best wishes, Robert

As Robert suggested, these are a later (aftermarket) Talbot mirror & would not have been available at the time your '68 Targa was produced.

You need to look for the earlier Talbot Berlin mirrors with the embossed logo - not the 'green dot' version.

Robert - you may want to consider selling those Yorck mirrors separately as many/most people tend to fit them only on the driver's side.

Hi Andy, many thanks for the input as always - I'm happy to split the Yorck mirrors as you suggest if that works better
