Relative size of rear 1/4 windows ?

Are -'73 opening rear 1/4 windows the same size as post '73 fixed rear 1/4 windows ?

Also, are these a different size again to the later 993 rear 1/4 windows which don't use an aluminium trim insert on the outside ?

I am buying some polycarbonate ones for my race/rally projects and don't want to get the wrong ones.
Some idea of their relative size would be very helpful. Thankyou

HI Andy not they're not the same size - I bought some lightweight glass to do my '65 race car then when i tried to fit it into the opening rear 1/4s found it was too big!! I still have the glass and could trace around one of them then post the trace to you - I'm not sure if I have a open 1/4 glass that is not in a frame but if I do I can trace that on the same page to compare sizes.

Thankyou Robin, so you are sure that the post '73 fixed rear 1/4 is slightly larger than the pre'73 opening rear 1/4.
I have some lexan opening rear 1/4 windows that I took out of my swb before I sold it so I could use them on the fixed rear 1/4s on my RS/RSR. Looks like this isn't going to work.
There must only be a few mm between then because just laying my windows up to the seal there appear to be a decent overlap.

I've just measured my opening rear 1/4 windows and the glass measures 29.2cm along the straight short side and taking a measuring tape from the apex of the rear corner forward to the 2 front corners gives 53.3cm and 59.0cm respectively to top and bottom corners. Could you possible measure the same dimensions on your windows.

If my opening rear 1/4 windows are not going to work in these fixed rear 1/4 seals on my RS/RSR then I'll need to get some. Definitely want scratch resistant 4mm with proper double curvature mounding like the originals for it is more rigid than flat glass.

Are the ones you might have surplus the nice types you describe (standard thick, scratch resistant, double curvature)? if so, can you share where you found them, and let me know if you need to part with the set you have.

They're definitely a different size. The opening ones are smaller of the two
