What Fuchs for a '67 ??
I'm pondering Fuchs for the 1967 912 and boy, is that a minefield out there !!! Deep Sixes, Deep Hearts.....eek !
What am I looking for ? I want 6" (don't we all, ooh er!) and stay with the 15's, I have banded steels on at the moment and I like the way they fill the arches (well only at the back, I think the fronts are 4.5's......how do I tell ???
Which ones will fit ? Will any of the early 70's 15" ones fit or are they different offsets ?
Thanks
Sean

Re: What Fuchs for a '67 ??
It depends on what you want to achieve & how much you are prepared to spend ...
For the '67 model year only 4.5in Fuchs were available - & they will be the most expensive version (if you can find a set)
In '68 the 5.5in Fuchs were introduced (another one-year only wheel)
During '69-'71 the 'deep six' 6in Fuchs wheel was produced - initially with 'hearts' (named because of the shape of the hole between the petals where the tyre valve protruded) & later without 'hearts'.
From the end of Mar '71 the 'flat six' was avaialbe.
All 6in Fuchs have the same offset - 36mm
All 6in

Steels just look better on a swb car! Save your pennies.

I just put a set of 5,5" vw heritage repro's on my 67. They cost very little you can buy the fully polished ones and detail them yourself (an easy and enjoyable job) and as you haven't had to invest too much on them you can swap between them and your steels.
