The engine on my SC wont turn over.
Initially thought was just flat battery as had left radio on without engine on, but now have a fully charged battery, and a good spark, engine turns but won't fire.
re: fuel - it was very low. I've now topped up with 2 gallons.
The ignition tries to fire for about2 secs, then nothing. Then doesn't even try to fire.
I remember some trick that Chris Turner once told me when I had a similar situation with the car (low/empty petrol, no firing), and it was something to do with taking out the fuel pump solenoid, but alas I can't remember exact order to do this in, or indeed why/what the logic was?!
What can I try next? (apologies if this is all 101 but I am one of those idiots who knows more about car polish than mechanics! :0)

Hi Mat,
Take out the fuel pump relay, the position is shown on the fusebox lid, and the crank the engine with a second person ready to pop the relay back in when the engine fires up. This is only good for a cold and flooded engine but is worth a try.

I don't think I have a DME relay as mine is an 80 sc, but will try the fuel pump relay! Thank you all
