I now realise most of the rebuild kit is for the parts inside the piston which I didn't see at first.
I was expecting a replacement for the large spring which is clearer absent.
So here is a picture of one of my mechanical tensioners that I was planning on rebuilding.
I bought them with some other parts from someone off eBay and as my car only had hard racing tensioners fitted I thought these would be a good replacement.
Now I have found the exploded diagram within PET it all makes a bit more sense - although I am sure the internals of my piston were the opposite to the PET diagram.

Shout out if anything looks to be missing - is the black o-ring in the kit supposed to be on the thin end of the piston - looks missing on my tensioner?
