Definitive finish guide??

I know search is your friend but can't seem to find a definitive guide as to what parts should have what finish I.e. Powder coat vs yellow plating??

The most informative reading I found was on the early 911s register regarding the swb cars.

As I recall all cars from 65 through to 68 all fixings were a silver finish. All of the tinware was satin black

Thanks Sean, I take it this the way you went with yours?

Yes it was. Replaced all fixings in non stressed areas with stainless steel. Brake calipers are clear cad plated so silver in colour, all suspension components are satin black apart from rear shock absorbers. Still have the engine tin to do over the winter hopefully.

I don't think anything on the car would have originally been powder-coated ...
