The mid section of the shell is previously so heavily welded that it has arched the body, causing the hood frame to over shoot the windscreen frame by about 25mm, and poor door alignment, difficult to see in the pictures.

Inner sill and rear chassis welded into position, body jacked out to correct position, roof frame and door fits, and all measurements and alignment are correct.

Looking at this, and some of the cars at Roger's, I never cease to be amazed at how badly so many 356s have been restored in the past!
