Re: 356 Speedster Flat6 outlaw build
Hi Rich,
surprisingly tight on the trailer, normally used for a 944 race car so should be wide enough but only just. No deep throated noises yet. I think the next update will be about the speedster ali seats being made, we will see.

Re: 356 Speedster Flat6 outlaw build
Morning Rich, no they are about 1/2 the price. Some say they are better with no issues, others seem less convinced. As far as engine upgrades, very mild, got rebuilt carbs, SS Turbo Thomas exhaust, top end rebuild which should give maybe 160 to 170 bhp but lots of torque. A built vw would probably give more but not the sound. Matching the 5 speed 915 gearbox and engine should give plenty of drive-ability.

Rich,
I have been trying to find the information on axle weights etc, but just cant seem to find it. Any chance you could explain again?
I found a great IVA link for the top 10 reasons why people fail which is really good:

Re: 356 Speedster Flat6 outlaw build
Morning Greg
For the Iva you'll need to give the designed axle weight for front and back. Your vehicle will be weighed during the Iva test to see if it comes in under or at the designed axle weight. Also the weight will be set against the braking efficiency of your car. So don't go to overboard with the axle weights.
You can get the axle weights from the donor log book for the front minus the weight of the engine. If your using the 911 axle and suspension maybe the 911 boys n gals can give this info from there log book?? Or if you have access to some scales even better.
I had to get an email from chesil confirming the weights but I'm sure you can get around that or if Gary's happy to confirm the weights??

Re: 356 Speedster Flat6 outlaw build
Evening all,
well got these from an Italian craftsman who normally deals in Ferrari so the quality is excellent and cost a lot less than in the UK

Need to fabricate some headrests and suitable base etc.

Look really good Greg, must be chuffed. Are you going to cover them or just use a pad for your arse?
Be interested to see what ideas you have for headrests, has they sit low on your back.
