....24 hour round trip to South West Ireland, Holyhead/Dublin/Holyhead and 870 miles all for an engine I'll never use!...

Visited Chris at Centre Gravity on Saturday. Wanted to get the 964 C4 set up after fitting the Bilsten B6's and H&R lowering springs.
The car drove not too bad but wandered to the left and felt very jittery & harsh on a bumpy B road. Also had the usual understeer under very hard cornering.
Well around 8 hours later and back on the test drive with Chris........WOW what a difference, like driving another car, you could actually take your hand off the wheel on the bumpy B road and under steer, I don't how but he seems have it turning in a lot tighter. The best money I've spent on car by a mile!!!
The guys a magician when it comes to suspension and talks you through everything he does, its now running RS +10mm ride height and some non standard other settings different to the factory and RS that works.
PS. The red 997 turbo you see in the picture was in for setting up but had been on a dyno.....running at 600BHP, only trouble is they'd bent his suspension arms when they ratchet strapped the car down.......that bad that it was dangerous. The guy had only bought the car 2 weeks ago.

Refitted my foot support today after having it recovered by Garry Cook in ribbed rubber matting.
Re chromed screws as well.



Interior now complete.

I had been having some Gear shifting issues on the red car so ordered a set of new bushings...This was the state of the selector shaft bushing, it had completely disintegrated and the bushing on the Ball joint was very slack. Cleaned and put it all back together with fresh grease, the difference in shifting is night and day...


The brown bits under the shaft are what was left of the old bushing !



Also adjusted the valves and front wheel bearings for good measure
