Keys for early 70s 911T (first post)

Hi all - this is my first post but I have lots of questions so I'm sure I'll be back with many more! Last year I bought a lovely 1971 911T but the door keys it came with are, I presume, emergency ones as they have tiny stubby heads that are the difficult to get any purchase on when turning in the door lock. I've heard that it may be possible to obtain key heads that wrap around these - does anyone know if this is the case and if so where these can be obtained? Otherwise should I just have a new door key cut by Porsche?

These are the standard keys:

The normal key has a black head with the valet key that does not work the glove box being the same style but a red head. Obviously it's not the colour head that makes the difference but a different profile on the key itself.

Thanks - this raises another question which may sound stupid. Is it normal to have a different key for the ignition to the doors? The key I have with the stubby head only fits the doors and I have another key (all metal) for the ignition. I'm guessing that there should only be 1 key to fit doors and ignition right?

No not pastel blue but silver.

I believe there would have been two keys; one (red) operates doors and ignition, the other (black) operates doors, ignition and glove locker. This is to allow (say) a garage to service the car while keeping the owner's personal possessions safe in the locker. Sounds like one of yours has been changed, but it is possible to have the lock barrels re-set for a single key. A locksmith can do this or there are kits available for the more adventurous DIT-er.

BTW I just ordered a new master key from Porsche for my '73 911T. It look a couple of weeks, but cost buttons (£30), compared to the new one needed by the owner of a Cayenne I was next to (£800), although it was nice for the service manager of the OPC to offer to re-code the ECU so that the new key would work in my car....
