Had a really good first Hillclimb week-end at Wiscombe Park. Slippy, greasy, and then downright wet (but much more grip.........) for the final run on Saturday, and then cool but dry on Sunday, and knocked 1sec off each run on Sunday as I got back in the groove. A happy bunch of 3 Porsches there both days, Bob Mortimer with his "Orange Dog" RS Rep, Ian (Curly on here) for his first visit to Wiscombe in his 944, and myself. A really good week-end. 8)

Any photos, KS or Andy??

Cheers!

Excellent Jonathan.
You did well not to do Prescott....

I was only 3 secs off my PB, car ran well, but the driver... :blackeye:

Never has been my favourite place.......... They'll have more week-ends free for carnivals and funfairs shortly if they are not careful.
You must come down to Wiscombe some day soon for a relaxed day of old-fashioned motor sport, Graham!

See you at Shelsley, I hope!

JW

PS - I was still 3 secs off my PB, even after knocking off the second per run........... :?

At Silverstone classic!

Today I put some nitromores on the painted over body tag on my 73T, uncovered for the first time since I painted it in 1989. :cyclops:

Code 225-9-2 which is Viper Green, not sure what the other numbers mean.

Banned from painting it that colour..

Cleaned under the wings of the car after Wiscombe, and got the car all ready (I hope!) for Shelsley Walsh this coming week-end.

Can't believe how well the old dog scrubbed up. The car's not bad either.

I lowered it a touch at the front, now feels less lifty at high speed... then declared it 'finished'. It's been 6 years since I bought it but I'm pretty happy with it now...
