Recovered the plastic rear scoops.
Thanks to Garry visualfx for the vinyl and words of encouragement.
Have recovered the vertical boards too but a bit concerned about fixing them back to the scoops with staples
as they were originally incase it just breaks up the plastic given the fact that it is 47 years old and maybe brittle.
Any ideas anyone????

Also decided the recover part of the dash top as it had been redone in the past
with the wrong speaker holes detail and had always bugged me.
4mm hollow hole punch, hammer, template from Darryl's excellent '66 912 resto page and a steady hand!

Nice work Danny,

I've used the same template many times from Darryl's thread, I also find that once punched out if you get a black marker pen and pop it through every hole from the back it takes away the white vinyl backing which sometimes shows after punching.

Sad I know but it's all in the detail

Also I use an air staple to reattach the two pieces above as its not as angry as the hand ones

Slowly Darren :\
Spare time since my last post has just seemed to evaporate, suddenly the summer was gone and it was December!

On a brighter note i did find a few days this last week and now most of the carpets are fitted,
windscreens are back in, dash is in place and the doors (handles, frames and glass) are on.

Planning on hitting it over the Christmas break and get the rest of panels fitted.
Will then update with some photos ;-)

Meanwhile i'll just leave you with a happy face....

Finally back home and back on the road :)
It was a great feeling to get back behind the wheel and take her out again after so long.
Few bits to finish on the interior, wheels need a good clean up, a few other little bits but it's nearly done for now.
