I also looked at the Handling solutions jig but wasn't sure how I would lift the shell to the jig.
They said they did a self loader tool but I didn't get any details as to how that worked. Did you get this option?

Also what mounting points does the jig use to attach to the car and how well does it balance?

I might need to get one for my body shop - maybe first dibs on yours if you are thinking of selling.

PS Aetna blue looks pretty cool

Hmm. The thing about Aetna Blue is that I've never seen it before, and I really like it.

Andrew - I bought the self-loader too. It does the job. The brackets for the jig attach at the bumper-mountings front and rear. You need spacers on the bolts at the rear to stop it fouling the bodywork.

I have mine sort of balanced, but it wants to tip the right way up. Even out of balance, it's pretty easy to spin the thing around. There are lots of adjustment holed to alter the position of the pivot relative to C of G. The only reason I haven't adjusted mine is laziness.

Aetna / beige / polo / etc. take your pick of whatever takes your fancy. But choose from the period (ish). A modern fashion colour / finish will date whereas a period colour is always going to sit well with the period design.

Sand beige is one of those colours that actually looks better under our dull cloudy skies than in the sun imho so you can enjoy all year round!
