Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
The 912 got some much needed attention...
Valve cover gaskets fitted and oil installed.
Clutch cable, gear linkage, speedo drive, starter, reversing light, heater boxes, bell crank all connected up.
Drive shafts reconnected (bar one bolt - typically a lock washer goes missing...)
Just need to bolt on the carbs add fuel and electricity and we should be good to go for the first start in over a year
The 993 got its mid winter check for unwanted furry residents
The 996 had its non functioning CD changer removed for investigation.
A productive evening - if only there were more of them!

Visited the paint shop on Thursday to check on final preparation before colour goes on this weekend.
Yesterday I managed to track down & purchase material for the seats ... from an unlikely source !

Received a box from the USA, sliced it open to reveal beautiful alloy push rod tubes from Precision Matters. sealed the box back up again and sent it on it's way.
It's all go round here.

This weekend I have been mainly frugally resuscitated my non-charging 996 with a fifty quid recon boxster alternator/regulator and 4 hours of my time.

There'd better be a good reason for you keeping it all secret AndyLightweight_911 wrote:Visited the paint shop on Thursday to check on final preparation before colour goes on this weekend.

Tried to buy some Recaro Sports Seats for my E at Silverstone auction......unfortunately others really wanted them!
These are a want rather than a need for me so think I'll wait until the market crashes!......

Drove to Leicester to drop the kids off in lovely weather. Then the heavens opened as we drove to Cotton Park to run the Inter Counties XC course
