Early 911 gearbox mount bushes

Sure this has been asked before, but I cant find the answers. My 67 car needs new bushes in the gearbox mount, but I cant seem to find them listed. Please can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks

The bushes cannot be replace as far as I know and the option I chose was from WEVO and I got mine from twin spark racing in Holland, worth doing the engine mounts at the same time in similar "stiffness"

SuperPro do a set for the engine and gearbox, available from many outlets in the UK.

Superpro SPF1375K ? just questioning this as they seem to have a habit of getting the fitment guide wrong. I have bought many a Superpro set then found they are incorrect despite listing. Looking at the picture, and various descriptions these are not right despite being listed as 65 on, in fact one site also says the are G50 suitable as well!

If I have the wrong part number please do let me know, I really don't want to start cutting out my old worn bushes just to find there isn't a simple replacement.

SPF1375K is the correct one.

I do indeed claim that they fit all early 911s, and have fitted them to my own G50 3.2

What's your thoughts on the full Superpro kit as I will need to re bush the whole of the car now anyway. I was contemplating Elephant racing bronze bushings for the suspension. The car is going to be a mixture of road / track use. Car is a 67 car

I fitted SuperPro bushes, supplied by Early 911, to the gearbox mount of my 68 911.

They worked very well.

And didn't squeak.

Not that I'm an expert but the bronze bushings seem to lack any compliance, perfect for a racing car but less so something a mortal drives and usually on the road. I worry about water, road dirt and salt too.

I can say my car is polybushed all round ( supplied by Nick) and drives very tightly but retains resilience with no squeaks.

The early transmission mount uses the same rubber bush as the engine mount and they are quite easy to press out and replace.

The 'cabrio' engine mount is quite a lot stiffer than the standard mount and you can press the rubber out of these parts and fit them to the early crossmember.

The cabrio mounts are available from Hamburg Technic at quite a good price.

Elephant racing also supply OEM specification rubber bushings which they say will restore your car to its factory settings. I always thought that would be a good thing to try.

For a 1967 car we have recently re-manufactured the front camber plate bushes from an uprated 80 Shore 'A' NBR.

They are the correct shape complete with the spigot that locates them in the early camber plate unlike the reproduction of the Koni Shock absorber bush that is also being offered but which is incorrect.

We have also made the correct steel plate washers as new replacements from Porsche are the wrong diameter and have stainless steel locating tubes, tab washers and the correct spec hexagon nuts.



We can also supply the correct specification front control arm bushes, rebuild the fan blocks with rubber and have uprated spring plate bushes and uprated trailing arm bushes.



We don't generally sell them as we had them made for our own use but we have a few spare.
