I think the logo on the rear window is original, as it was on the car when I bought it.

My long gone Rep had the very same logo on the rear glass. Both your car and my old car were sourced at the same time from the same seller. Just saying.

As you know, bought the engine in 2009.It was sold to me as a "rebuilt,turnkey" engine,but here we are five and a bit years later still trying to sort out the mess

Hi,
Just finished the refurbishment of a 2.2 MFI engine electrical board today.
Satin black painted board done by the local independent body shop, Redtek soda blasted the CDI box and I bought a new decal, fasteners and 3 way fuse box from Porsche.
As we there was no large plastic for this until the 2.4 cars, so it required some investigation to get the correct fuse box. I cleaned and re taped some of the wiring.
I had the CDI box and speed switch checked for correct operation so I just need a good used rpm sensor and we are ready for testing/use.







As you can see the CDI box earth tab and 2 connections with 1 for the engine ignition wiring loom.
Is the other for the short earthing lead whose other end is connected to the earthing point behind the fuel filter?
Always good to have a spare.
