D- zug units are now on their way - you need all the candlepower you can get in West Cork!
Following Bootsy's earlier post, I asked Chris Jury to come up with a more restrained graphic scheme- the original was probably a bit too orange [roof stripes etc.]
The new graphic is much more subtle - with three alterantive rear treatments;

or using a d-zug carbon reflector delete to avoid "Porsche"repeat on reflector

or painting reflector panel orange to match decklid and applying graphic to that ;

Subtle differences-but more choices!
The lime green accents [badge, Os in Porsche] are a reference to the lime green racing stripes/wheels on my stolen '74 carrera.

Hey - SC Hot rods unite! You have a Jaffa Cake, I have a Chocolate Lime.

I must point out something which I have agonised over with my SC. When you remove the side skirts, on an IB the lower edge of the front and rear valances are actually below the lower edge of sill line. It's not a dig at Chris' rendering - artistic licence and all that - just saying...

As such it is common that an impact bumper sans skirts can look a bit high in the middle, particularly when on 16s. IMO, you have to get the ride/stance bang on to pull it off.

This is what I'm talking about. IMO this doesn't look right (an front spoiler makes it look even more awkward):

Somehow wide cars get away with it beacause the flare at the of the sill brings the line down a little:



So either be prepared to run the car very low or get some 15s.

Of course this is just my personal opinion and what do I know?

Seems like Jon got the road tyres on yesterday [it came with toyo track tyres] so here is the car actually on the road in Ireland - of course I'm in France!



Not sure if we can lower it much more on Irish roads!

IMHO:
Those wing mirrors are far too obtrusive to the 'look' in colour. Almost the first and only focus on attention?
Boring, but body colour is best due to their size.

Orange is where it's at, but orange on the flags don't work so good. I don't mind the flags as they match the fat bumpers, but no point in emphasising their fatness.

Orange centres made a massive difference to my doom blue.

I'm interested in the D-Zug headlights as well as I drive my 911 all year round. However it looks a bit of a spendy solution and seems to basically be repurposing some headlights from another car and combining them with clear lenses - doesn't seem to be any manufacturing on D-Zug's part. I'd be interested to know what units they are and where I can get them in the UK.
