Cylinder identification?

Anyone who can identify this cylinder fitted to my '71 2.2T?

I have a receipt for cyl replacement in the history file but it doesn't state what kind of cyl's fitted. Clearly its not a std cast iron item and the engine hasn't yet been pulled apart so I don't know if they need to be honed (if possible?) or replaced yet.

I'd bet on what I think are Biral type which have a ferrous bore within the alloy fins casting. ?

On the positive side it would mean lower rebuild cost if it would be enough with a hone or possibly re-bore. But at the other hand I had my eyes on the Nickies that Nick has for sale, taking it up to 2.5 or 2.7l if also adding a crank...

Whatever I go for will require new pistons as I'd like to to go high comp while I'm at it.

I think the received wisdom is that the nickasil cylinders are better for higher performance motors due to better heat transfer, they are also lighter . The sets Mr Moss has would be a great option, especially if you want to fit higher compression pistons anyway.
