Hi RAF71 The early cars had lots of rust problems and I would advise you to take someone with you who knows the early cars well! they can be very expensive to repair, I have worked on them for over 40 years and have seen good and bad but more rusty ones than good ones! take care!

As has already been said, if you don't know anything about these cars then get someone who does to look at it for you before parting with your hard earned cash.

Also any pictures that you already have would be very useful. The originality of this cars plays an important part in the price you will pay.

Welcome,

Be warned, the 69 has a list of some of one year only unique parts. Their presence will tell you if the car has been well looked after or butchered, and you will also be in for a bit of worldwide searching if they are missing.

All the best. Hope it works out for you. Take someone who can help you. I like France

Regards
Mike

hi
thanks for the replies. The car has had a bare metal respray along with an engine and gearbox overhaul
i was more interested in ensuring the correct parts were on the car for that model year.
its only had 2 owners and covered 60k miles
im going on Friday so ill take some photos and post them back here next week.
