Saying hello from Essex

Post by Sean.P »

Hello guys and girls, I am new to this forum and although not new to Porsches, I am to the aircooled variety.

I have just acquired a 1968 912, which is a low owner, matching numbers car with 51K original miles on the clock.
Coming from an aircooled VW background, and still own a splitscreen bus, I have been drawn more and more to these beautiful cars after seeing a nice one at a VW event. So I decided to move on another splitscreen bus that I had and acquired this great car.
Before doing the deal I obviously took it for test drive and I couldn't believe how great it was to drive with the very familiar engine tune coming from the rear. Very impressed with the power and handling and boy did I have a smile on my face.
I now have the joy of having to educate myself on the workings of another vehicle, but I can't wait.

Anyway here are a couple of pics of the car, which I hope you like, and looking forward to gaining knowledge as quickly as possible.

Thanks for looking, Sean
