Hello

Post by Zinc1 »

The 'exchange is no robbery' defence springs to mind and, as ever, doesn't quite hold up - it hardly seems fair to post a few pics of my car in exchange for all the astonishing cars (and threads) on here, but it's all I've got!

So, below is the 1981 SC that I bought last year, which runs well (and is driven hard to make sure it continues to do so) but is very much a work in progress - a combination of small (hopefully!) age-related fixes and undoing 'improvements' made over the years. Long-term plan is to add another 911 to 'the stable', which will hopefully be a pre-74 car for rallying (backdate/tribute rather than the real thing), the exact specs for which change just about every day...

Anyway, here's what the SC looked like when I bought it:

And it currently looks like this:

Interior looks like this and, radio excepted, will not change on my watch:

Welcome there are quite a few of us in London. Pop down to the Fairmile for a chat. I think the next one is this Wed. Chris Turner what organises it also has an IB so you will be in good company. PS I'm not sure that Chris will be there this time as I don't know if he returns from holiday in time.
