you may be better in my view to have the Solex's rebuilt properly. If they have not already..
See 912's are not all that bad.. I must use mine more. Funny complete suspension update is where I am at, at the moment. But been distracted by it's bigger water cooled brother with the roof down.. :-/

Regards my 12, Max at Revival has rebuilt the carbs and he's told me they are worn beyond repair now so I'm inclined to think they're probably US.
In other news though...
I've found out the car is actually fitted with a 5 speed box! I thought it had a long first - I was told it was a four speed when I bought it (although technically I wasn't told anything and I didn't ask as it said four speed in the ad), I've only driven it about 500 miles or so and never found or thought to dogleg first! What a pillock I am! I thought I should double check and I found this;
This means it's a 5 speed according to the 912 registry. I then checked the serial number against the COA and it is the original matching numbers gearbox - result
I've been busy getting started on detailing now, starting with a compound polish working up to waxing. The results are looking good so far.
