Sorry to hear about that Thomas. Been through the burglary thing a few times - feels loads better when they get them, and the brick wall and pepper spray sound like fun. A police dog bit our burglar - marvellous
The simple things you see are all complicated
I look pretty young but I'm just backdated yeah

What a pain, not a nice thing to wake up to. Hope you get it sorted without too much hassle. Not sure what the laws are in the UK but we had a change in the law here a couple of years ago that allows the occupier to use any and all necessary force against an intruder if you feel you or your family are in danger. Doesn't stop the break ins on empty houses but makes them think twice about raiding a home whilst people are in them.

Gits. Thank heavens they weren't the types that steal the car keys and make off with your car while you sleep...

Cheers guys, kids went out for the day and seemed fine. I dealt with Police who were great. On the scene within 5 minutes. Won't go into details but the little scroats weren't clever and at least got some justice once restrained. Hopefully the law will also be served. Onwards and upwards

So sorry to hear that tale Bootsy, been through it too out here in rural Dorset, no fun whatsoever. On a lighter note popped over to Gurston Down on Sat and met Jonathon and 914/6, still trying to convince me to take to the hills, today went to Dubbin in Dorset great little show nice people and nice weather. Some things in the world make up for the bad bits...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
I didn't do this today.....happened last Thursday.
Something wasn't feeling too great with the Red car. Drove out to my new favourite garage and we did a compression test...
1 and 2 good, 3 hmmmm ok, 4 bugger !

Got the car up on the lift and adjusted the Valves.

Valves on cylinder 4 had no movement at all !!! We took the whole rocker arm off and decided to check the Cylinder bolts whilst we were in there, all bottom 4 were loose ! We assemble the rocker arms back together with some shims to get the valve moving and noticed that one of the lock nuts on the valve adjustment screws was too thick ( looks like it had been badly fitted at some point ) which apparently effects the revs. All went back together and I decided to drive home and check the compression again this week ( I should have check the compression again whist at the garage, but Mrs Jury was calling asking where I had been all afternoon
)
Car drove completely different on way home, not quite pulling like a Train but much improved and lower revs. 3500 at 100KPH vs 4000 previously. We will check compression again tomorrow, and then get the wheel alignment sorted on Tuesday. But I definitely think an engine build is on the cards over winter, we did discuss the possibility of Twin Spark
I want to arrive at CLM in an old Porsche of some kind
Chris

Sorry to hear of your woes Thomas…...have been in the same situation a couple of times so know how you feel.
Main thing is always that you and yours are ok and pleased the culprits got their comeuppance.

Well look at me being all conforming and legal.....

It's only for the front though so you will all still have to look at the square one at the back!
Just need to drill 4 holes and get some placcy tie wraps and we are sorted
