Welcome Andy and look forward to seeing more about your 911.

Good to have another DDKer from the sunny South West to keep KS on his toes. :)

Hi guys I doubt I can keep up with KS, I've had the car for about a month now and it's from pacific grove California, looks to of has 3 previous owners and the last owner bought it in the early 80s and was a teacher but for some reason laid the car up in his garage about 1997 until 2013 which I guess it was time for him to sell it, it's has the brakes an engine work by a guy called David loop European , new batteries, ssi heat exchangers oil pipes and service parts plus it looks like turbo rocker covers too and the zeniths have been rebuilt just to get up and running, it was then sold to a guy in the Netherlands then sold on to me,paints not great on it but it was awesome to drive it from Plymouth to wadebridge for its first mot, I'm surprised how loud the stock exhaust is,I've been busy buying lots of bits to freshen it up, having been into aircooled vws for the last 25 years I kind of lost interest in vws so sold my oval and type3 to fund the 911 which has given me new enthusiasm and really it's put a big smile on my face

it does look aubergine but turns out to be burgundy paint code 24 24 but i thought it was cocoa brown as it was advertised as brown.

finally i have registration and number plates, today was an engine service and tune, seems to be dirt in the carbs so I'm guessing the tank is rusty so may get a replacement and go from there but at least its drivable now, still lots to do and i could do with someone to test drive it for a second opinion on what else might need doing,KS? fancy taking it for a test drive?
