Cricket match with view of Lavenham church in background very British, like being on the top of abicuit tin fantastic and car went great.
If anyone fancies a week in Lavenham I do have a cottage there and will give generous discounts to other DDKer's.
Sorry for the blatant advertising.

Good to know. I enjoy Lavenham and a meal in The Great House

Try the 'keys in the post' fella graham, just send a pic, I was glad I did when the parking valet snapped mine in a Stuttgart hotel

Fitted the 7R spec flat sixes that I sold to a mate onto his car:

And while we were at it trial fitted my 7" widened steels to see what they looked like:

Rebuilt the driveshafts. Or at least I would have done if one of the CV boots wasn't in the wrong box... Still 3 out of 4 ain't bad!

Well, firstly draining a little over two litres of fresh Valvoline from my (embarrassingly over-filled and 'comedy' smokey engine) which delayed yesterday's planned first drive after renewing the worn front suspension bushes, I finally grabbed the first break in the rain for a blat down the lanes.....both to see if I could feel any difference in the handling (hard to say) and to burn off the remnants of the oil from the overfill (success! Smoke-free zone again).

It was also my first time out since getting a new number for the car....

"73" for both the car's and my date of birth.
"HA" 'cos that's how it makes me feel at full chat. :)

Love this car.
Best

Matt

No problem , it may take at least two of us to make sure she's keeping Adam Morgans pole upright !

I adjusted my sparkplug gaps today with very pleasing results

From the 0.045 recommended by MSD right the way down to 0.03. Tickover much more manageable and progression much smoother.

Rested for what was left of the day and planned to go for a drive... maybe tomorrow.

Regards, Mike.
