Normal Le mans and Classic

Post by revo »

Hi all

As sun beams down in sunny Essex my thoughts go to sunny France in June for the Le Mans 24 hour.
I will be attending both the classic and the normal Le mans and was wondering if any other DDKers will be at the normal event.
There is allot of talk on the forum about the classic but not much about the normal.
It would be good to arrange a meet of some sort for both events for the people who are camping in different locations.
Best location for a meet for the normal Le mans would be The Great British welcome in Saint Saturnin on the Friday, which is a car show similar to Headingham but for all makes. Free entry with food and refreshments available. Saint Saturnin is locates literally on the outskirts of Le mans to the north.

Just a thought, lets see if there is any interest.

I'm going to the 24 hour and it would be great to meet up with other DDK'ers. Travelling via the tunnel on Thursday and staying at Bleu Nord with 1st Ticket.

I should be there - dizzy replacement permitting! The 24 hour normal race I mean.
I'll try to get along to Saint Saturnin on the Friday.
Cheers,
Phil.

This weekend is test weekend at La Sarthe.

Gossip about the 919:

If the car is illegal, better to know now, and the factory resolve before race weekend...

Looking forward to seeing the test times for today. That may decide whether Toyota and Audi lodge a protest!.
