Had decided to go to elephant racing to buy a custom hose from the cross over pipe to oil filter but having the correct hose at hand it seemed daft to not at least have a go at replacing.
With the engine back in I dropped the exhaust header which gave reasonable access.
And bingo the union came undone so easily.
New cross over pipe installed within 30 minutes.
And finally the exhaust header back in place.

Time to fit the remainder of the oil system. However I will need to place a small order to elephant to get correct unions for filter console. A previous owner has replaced them with BSP fittings for a home made set of oil lines. maybe why it leaked so much oil.
Following popular opinion I dropped the oil tank out to install the hoses to it.

Not able to finish the oil system install until I can correct the filter console, so cracked on with the fuel line install for which I've used PTFE Braided lines throughout.

Final fitting of the interior ...softcore with the rear seats up.
Little more hardcore with the rear seats folded down...

Had a chance to look over Geoff's car yesterday as he very kindly helped me out with some adjustments to my seat.
Even more impressive in the flesh than in the photos. However, I'm not sure whether the average DDKer would be more envious of his car or his workshop, which was fantastic (I can recognise a good workshop despite not knowing which was round to hold a spanner!!!)
The elusive parts arrive......nothing but praise for the service from Elephant Racing...and came with present of an insulating sleeve to keep my Bud chilled......class act.
