rear tyre wear

On my 2.4S my rear tyres wear at different rates. The near-side tyre wears quicker than the off-side. Apart from that the wear is ' even ' on the tyres and nothing looks odd.

Is this a typical trait on an early 911 with no LSD ? Is this due to the way the torque is being distributed under hard acceleration ( which the car does a LOT of

).

If non of the above, I imagine its time to get a 4 wheel alignment

Near side wears quickly.....ummm Power oversteer on roundabouts?

Too much weight on one side

If its the drivers side that is!

Never figured out which side nearside and offside is, does it change if the car's LHD or RHD, I'm a nonce.

Nearside is nearest to the curb in this country when driving on the correct side of the road, irrespective of where the steering wheel is.

My nearside tyres wear more quickly too. This is due to understeer when I have a light fuel load & hooligan right foot out of corners/roundabouts. My S was corner weighted & aligned by Gantspeed before I bought it.
