New member from deepest darkest Dorset.

Post by acduncan »

Hello all... Long term 356 owner & general ddk forum lurker here.

Have owned my car for nearly 15 years now but really haven't used it as much as I would have liked. That's all set to change this year, with a trip to the Le Mans Classic with a few 356 buddies later this year.

Here's a pic of the porker:

Oh, and I'm having a garage de-clutter, so I'll be posting a couple of ads here & there...

I'm in Highcliffe, just 10 miles or so east of bournemouth.

Happy to post more pics but I think I'm struggling with the img tags or don't they work well with flikr hosting?

I'm interested to hear about the DDK camping option...

In 2012, 3 of us drove down in 2 356s for the Le Mans Classic. We hooked up with a French VW club & parked at the circuit in their enclosure, which we'll also be doing this year (but this time we'll be bringing 3 356s).

Many of the French VW club have Splitscreen vans - so they're able to camp in the enclosure at the circuit - we camped with the rest of them at a campsite in Spay, just a few kms west of Arnage. This worked out fine - but we may be tempted to camp on site if that's an option...

Thanks,

Anthony

All details are in the members area

Basically there are around 70 DDK'ers camping together on Bleu Nord , we also have dedicated DDK infield parking during the day too.

If you want to join us all let me know & I'll forward you the details :)
