New Member & Kermit

Post by Carsarecool »

Evening everyone,

Just joined up so thought I'd introduce myself.

Just acquired my new love....in the shape of a lime green 88 911 backdated to a 74 Carrera.

You could say it's a tad on the loud side, not just in colour, but vocally also :)

Came from a 997 GT3 so it's a bit of a change.....but I absolutely love it. Getting far more enjoyment than I ever did on the road in the GT.

So much more fun at lower speeds, I can actually get to its limits on the road at sensible speeds rather than just setting into a corner and finding endless grip.

Previously had a 993 C4S with a TTP Turbo conversion running at 450bhp, a TVR T350C, Boxster S, Lotus Elise 111s and a few more 'normal' cars.

Completely into Porsche now, can't see past 911's, for some reason......they just 'get to you'!

Anyhow, going to LM Classic in a few weeks (after getting married next weekend), so looking forward to meeting a few like minded people over there.

Cheers!

Welcome, that's a great looking car. I assume it's the Tuthill-built one on Jenvey throttle bodies?

Thanks for the welcome!

Yes, it's the Tuthill car, absolutely amazing spec and quality right throughout the car. Drives superbly, sounds amazing - love it!

Welcome to DDK and your 911 looks great. Love the way the colour really pops in this pic among all the grey, more than the flouro jackets!

Only had the car for about 6 weeks, covered about 1000 miles, two road trips and out every weekend with my better half and the kids in the back.

Old school, most definitely rules :)

Welcome to the forum - I remember reading about your car in one of the mags - looks nice.
The simple things you see are all complicated
I look pretty young but I'm just backdated yeah
