I've debated investing in a lift for the last few months....so with the engine now insight I've taken the plunge...how I wish I'd done this earlier..

That's the braking system fully installed...calipers and master cylinder fully overhauled and new lines and hoses throughout. Produced all the lines myself which I'm fairly pleased with. Much tidier than what came of. I produced patterns and a spare set of lines so the next car will be quicker.....

It's certainly becoming more of a hot rod...my obsession to improving the wiring continues which has resulted in me re manufacturing much of the loom.

Could you tell me the measurement from the floor, to the highest point on the car in the photo above?

The engine has arrived so in theory nothing should be stopping me now.....

Its a "very lightly" tuned 2.5 MFI built on 7R cases.....which I think is more pleasing that the 3.0SC CSI that came with the car.

It's between 2.4 and 2.5m from floor to car roof when at maximum lift. Obviously you can lift and lock to any height you want. I'm rarely using it at full lift. The maximum lift of the lift is stated as 1.3m.

Thanks, we think the 2.5 will prove to be a great choice in such a lightweight car, I bought from a trusted source, with a fairly well known race / rally history. I have the build photographs and dyno plots from Bob Watson but we don't actually know for sure who built it...who ever did has put it together very well. The log and photographs show it's had every mod and improvement in the book. It's had a fresh service and check over so the plan is to drop it in, fire it up and see how she runs and then plan further improvements as required.

After some experimentation I've decided to go for an RS Style Trombone Cooler. I had installed mounts behind the front bumper for a Mocal Cooler but decided the that the hose install was going to require too much cutting of the inner wings.

Invested in this natty little digital spirit level / angle finder to set the angle of rear spring plates.

Wasn't happy with the engine looms I had so decided to build one from scratch.

Like the other looms I've made, I've protected all the new wires in heat proof sleeping.

Will figure this lot out once the engines in and I've decided on the location of the MSD 6AL ignition box
