72 GRRC Meeting

Post by haasad »

Is anyone attending this shindig, I've got tickets and the event looks pretty good although I'm finding it hard to pin down detail ? Might be the first drive out of the year for me if its dry otherwise the trusty Bimmer.

Bizarrely I've just returned someone's email asking me to attend but for some reason I just cannot get excited about it - I think I might be suffering from Goodwood Overkill - I do hope it's not terminal!

Not going either Steve, put off by the write up, punters split into 'houses' scoring points for your house etc. bit jolly hockey sticks for me.

Expensive too as I remember ?

Although it is Goodwood and I'm sure they'll get it right.

There's been a great mix of cars at the test days, and I believe they will have some of the previous generation turbo F1 cars too, which should be spectacular.

I'm going, sounds like some great racing although expensive (as per the Goodwood norm) and I too am a bit unsure about the Teams thing, just want to see some classic petrol head action without the huge crowds at Revival

I am going, in the Pork. I don't give 2 snozzbuckles about the Houses, I care only for the racing, the cars, the entertainment etc. I hope it will be like the revival of 10+ years ago. Which is pretty much their intention. No more expensive than the revival once entry and grandstands are factored in.

Excellent I thought some folks would be going, I don't think its possible to have too much Goodwood they seem to get it so very right and even though the main events are busy We've never yet failed to find a free viewing spot on track which is our main reason for going, however the chance to look round the other attractions on this occaision is very welcome.

See you there...

I'm just going for the Sunday. Couldn't face a whole weekend and all that putting people into houses and team bollocks. The racing on Sunday looks really exciting and something like 8 out of 11 races are on Sunday, including pre-war Bugattis. Something like the Revival, with a smaller crowd sounds a great idea to me.
