Post by Old-Bugga »

Has anybody hear made there own templates/panels for the interior?

I am looking to do the following and it would be great if someone has already made templates which would save me a lot of time.

Rear Seat area. This would be 3 pieces the rear hatch area and the two side.

Door Cards

Dash Eyebrow

Dash In fills either side of the eyebrow

Carpets-Anyone made there own?

Oh Well! I'll just do it myself then.

1-Made some paper templates.
2-Cut out 3mm hardboard to templates
3-Soaked hardboard with boiling water.
4-Pressed soaked hardboard into shape and secured with self tapers.
5-Mark top curve remove and cut a half inch below line.
6-Let it sit for a week or so until it dries and takes it's new shape.
7-Send for trimming.[/url]

On the subject of interior trimming, can anyone recommend a good trimmer with reasonable prices? I know this sounds like a contradiction in terms but it's worth a shot.......
