How much is my car worth ?

Not sure, but might sell my car and look for something else....

For those who don't know:

911 on a 69 VIN, although had an SC body etc, when I got it - gathered as much DVLA info as possible, back to 82.

RHD, now with backdated panels and recently painted in gulf blue, although not perfect and the paint needs some finishing. Brakes and suspension etc have had quite a bit spent on them. Interior is a bit scrappy - seat has a rip.

Gearbox is fine, slight whine, but nothing compared to others I have heard, only in 3rd.

Engine is 3 litre, very slight drip of oil and nothing more - good pressure etc., idles and pulls nicely...lots of big trips done with no dramas.

I had the issues with the immobiliser, but that has been bypassed and ideally needs removing.

So a bitsa, which is a bit of a rolling project, but very usable and good fun. RHD, tax-exempt etc.

Flown through the last 2 MOTs, currently with 9 months left...insurance is £170 !

If I keep, it needs the wheels either painting or replacing, chrome 'bits' adding, interior tidying and the paint fettling a bit.

I was going to say between £14-16k .....too much ?

Which found a new home somewhere around £25k.

25k for Bobs car seems like a bargain now but that was two years ago. How much would a car like that be in todays market ?

Love the car, dont like the mirrors.
If I was in a position to buy it at your estimate I would rip your arm off and Im a tight git so that must be too cheap.

Yes, the mirrors, wheels, windscreen surround etc all need replacing with period (or at least more aesthetically pleasing!) items.

Also the interior needs 'doing'.


I have had a couple of people PM with interest, but I just want to gain an idea of value, before making a decision....if it's not enough to make the jump to the next car on the list, I will just keep and enjoy...it's a great drive.
