fuchs
Picked up a set of fuchs that had been crome powder coated and decided to have them stripped so that I could polish and detail them.BIG MISTAKE
the rims are badly pitted, a mate who works in the aircraft industry says it was corosion, not enough rim thichness to have them cut, measured at 3.5mm, so do I junk them or what, looked at the Gas Burner replicas, £750
out of my budget so what are my alternatives, all advice welcome.

When I did my wheels I shot blasted them at a concreat place . So if any one says you can't shot blast chrome is talking rubbish. Once the old chrome was off I etched them and painted them Hammerite silver and polished the hub caps. I had so many comments about the wheels as they were real bright silver looking and they made the car look so inocent. I am still toying to polish my fusch's or not.. cos of it.. I can get some pic's if you like
