Dear DDK'ers
My name is Ian and although a new devotee to Porsche I have held a 20 year interest in high performance vehicles - Jet Fighter Aircraft specifically. I am a retired RAF Aircraft Engineer who spent many happy years servicing and maintaining Phantom F4's and Tornado F3's!
So, why Porsche?
Well, very simply I have a good friend who is an absolute expert in all things Porsche - one Andrew Mearns of Gmund Cars fame (http://www.gmundcars.com). His enthusiasm has rubbed off, especially as I am helping him with some of the restoration work he does (currently a very beautiful 914).
Porsche simply speaks for itself - market leader, innovator and excellence in engineering!
The more time I spend with Andrew the more passionate about the brand I am becoming. I am very happy to join this community and look forward to posting regularly as the restoration projects take life!
Regards
Ian

Re: Hello from Yorkshire UK
Morning Ian and welcome, I'm sure you will find plenty of inspiration for your projects here on DDk.
I too know Gmund quite well, my 911 came from there and I always try to pop in when I'm passing.
And Raskelf ? I always found the road to Boroughbridge and back a wonderful bit of road. Used to drive it often and always enjoyed it.
Regards, Mike.
