The perfect (genuine) Lightweight in white/blue has a great history, it was driven down to Sicily by Dan Margulies who raced it in the Targa Florio coming 18th out of 80. Plenty of later history too 8)

This famous RSR was remarkable in every way. Probably the most photographed car on the event, it arrived with it's minder on a covered flatbed from Monaco. It's so original that other RSR owners were all over it taking note of every little detail.

My car has always had this badge rather than a decal but I've never got to the bottom of why.... I've heard different reasons, fitted to the non-ducktail cars etc. I was interested to see quite a few cars with it and consensus seems to be that some Tourings had them for no particular reason. Nick Green introduced me to Georg Konradsheim who neatly described the reason for the little production differences of the RS by saying back then Porsche wasn't a factory but rather "a workshop building cars". Nice.
