I do like that ! 8)

Is the stripe silver (difficult to tell for certain in the photos) ?

Are you going to continue the stripe across the roof ?

The colour really shows off the lines of rear quarters.....love it! 8)

I might just have to ditch the tangerine idea and go for gold!

Hi Andy – it's Porsche 356 'Silver Metallic'. I was originally going to take it all the way over the roof (and even the dash top, but that's another story...) but after looking at hundreds of photos, decided against it as I felt it visually cut the car in half. Also, the curves of the roof really do show the gold to perfection. 8)

Looks shite - paper doors, crumply wings, you'll never see out of the windows, and the front wheels are far too small. Been wasting your time on that custom hotrod drag-racer lookalike design in my view. Never work, never.

Colour is nice though, so every cloud etc.

Love the colour and the stripes just make it a bit special Keith.
I see a pair of hood mounted cibies or marchals with gold bodies planted right on those stripes.

You must be chuffed.

Mike

Keith did spend a long time just looking at it in the sun today,I think he's pleased,he even promised to buy me a beer!,I'm quite chuffed too as its something a bit different from the norm for me,and I feel quite a sense of pride as I have never had any kinda of training when it come's to painting, just thrown in at the deep end a few years ago,and kinda self taught! I'm a mechanic at heart really!
This also could well be the last paint job I do,we'll see!

If anybody has any questions about the process just let me know.

You're right... I'll start all over again. If I follow your example, I can get it all restored and rebuilt by next Thursday, before starting on a new project for the following week!

Had a look through the original photos earlier today and I find it hard to believe how much things have changed – and how long everything takes!
I guess it'll be worth it in the end... :)
