968 Owner On Board

Post by Fourpot »

Should that be 'requests permission to come aboard'?

I arrived back in Bristol last night to find a very tidy white/green 911 RS on my Dad's drive, sadly it wasn't his new toy, or an early Birthday present. They run a B&B and a guest staying had brought it on a trip. I had a chat with the owner this morning and he mentioned DDK. So here I am.

I have a Midnight Blue 1991 968 Coupe which has covered about 130k Km and I've been the owner since I self-imported it from Italy in 2002.
I'm usually on the 968uk or Pistonheads forum - lurking mainly.
I live in Cornwall and use the 968 as a 2nd car. It's just coming out of hibernation in Somerset and is going for the MOT and a service in Bath next week. Once all that's squared away again I'll take the scenic route back to Cornwall one weekend towards the end of the month. I fancy a bit of East Dartmoor and the A395 Launceston to Camelford road!

I've got the annual insurance ring-round this week, I've been insuring through Adrian Flux for the past couple of years, this years renewal has crept up a bit too much to let it roll over so I'm shopping around for a better deal.

Looking forward to some decent rear-ender vs front-runner banter!

Welcome Tony.... glad you made it onto here after our brief chat!
Thanks again to your Dad for the loan of screwdriver, torch and emery paper to resolve my closed points gap..... maybe next time I won't awaken the dead with the popping and banging it made! Made it home OK, so I must have guesstimated the points gap about right.... :)
