Picked up the last parts from the apinter today, what a feeling!

Sat in the garage for 30 minutes just watching the car.

I just spent a couple of fantastic days in the UK, visiting Mike and Paul at PR Services and also Roger Bray, Im really humbled by the hospitality and service that we recieved. I´ll definetely have to come back, the sooner the better!

Came home with some new energy and tried to get on with my car!

Been struggeling LOTS with the front A-arm bushing.. The early ones are a little special (and expensive), it took a long before I understood that the inner metal sleeves had rusted stuck to the A-arms. I pressed the inner metal sleeves out of my new bushings and tried that way but NO go (the manometer for my press was also broke hence leaking oil so the press could not be used, typical luck) In the end, after several hours of struggeling, busting my knuckles etc. I grinded the inner sleeves of the A-arms and pressed (struggled) the new inner sleeves back to the new bushings, bought a new manometer and voilá, easy once you do it right! Sometimes it is so *#%€€% frustrating to be an amateur!



Sprayed Tectyl into the torsions tube which was in good shape! Managed to set the radius arms to 33/32,5 degrees (under no load) which was the best I could do at the moment.. I know I´ll have to go through this again to get the ride height correct so I was "ok" with the diff for now.

Also mounted the rear trailing arms, no fuss there.

Another weekend has flown by, managed to get some 15h in the garage, here´s a brief update.

I´ve disassembled the turn signal/washer housing and levers, cleaned all contacts, greased up the mechanisms and painted the "hub" but I was not happy with the color (too shiny) so I´ll have to redo it.



Disassembled the rear quarter windows to change the inner seals that go into the chrome moldings.



Also glued some of the vinyl on the underside of the dash pad that had came loose, nothing major. The dashpad is in terrific shape and will look stunning in the car once I have reconditioned it with some vinyl prep.






My shocks (front inserts and rear shocks) are stamped BOGE and are in an orange color, I have two sets of these from two different cars so I assume they are original color? Does antone know the color code or a good match for these?

Trying to keep up the pace!

Found a stunning vintage Porsche-jacket, just had to buy it!




Measured the rotors which were as good as new, installed calipers and emergency brake.





I´ll take a day off from the garage this weekend to hopefully enjoy some spring weather here in Stockholm.

Some more progress..

I have struggled wuith the rear suspension, first I forgot the inner E-brake "bridges" on both sides, had tp tear everything down. Then I understood that I had the wrong trailing arm bushings fitted - tear down, buy new ones and install all over...

But im getting there, albeit slowly.

Turn signal housings, hoping to be able to secure a nice set.
