Feroz, I very much like your RS Replica and the better replicas you see. I could have taken my old white car to that level, and indeed Dan now has :-) Interested to know if an RS Replica as discussed here, would have been worth more or the same had it been built on say a 1973 911L reshell at the time, to the same standard. i.e. does the origin of the reshell really matter ? One to debate or not.

IMO a 2.7RS replica based on a '73 donor shell should be worth (significantly) more than one built by 'backdating' a later shell.

Thought you would say that Andy. Maybe once the Alfa is done, I will consider doing a proper job of a Replica.

The ultimate RS replica is a period shell in one of the best colours (original to the shell) fitted with a real RS engine from a crashed car. The closest you could get to the real thing.

Thanks Ian - I like it too :)

While it is a 73 MY chassis and has lots of correct RS part on it, I'll have to admit the engine was sourced form a 75 Carrera so not the "ultimate" :( . If anyone knows of a crashed 2.7 RS with a motor going spare, please let me know

Yep, that would trump all-comers to the table. But that is so rare (unique?) that we are unlikely to see another. Another great car that has passed through your hands. Went to Germany Andy?
