If It's going to be an everyday runaround I'd be looking at colours that don't show up scratches or look dirty when the slightest wind blows.

The number of dark coloured cars I've had that look great when polished and waxed and then a couple of hours later look crap...

I'd also want one that looks nice under 'GREY' skies since we seem to have more of those than blue! Some colours look great polished and in the sun but less so after a bit of use and it's cloudy...

Any excuse to post this again....

And what about Jade? Lovely with tan.

I'm also partial to Olive but is there really any colour on an early 911 hot rod that would make people think... nobber? Everything looks good on that perfect shape and whatever you choose, look forward to seeing it completed 8)

If any colour is an option I love the new Alfa Romeo 8C Red - far too modern imho for an early 911 but would look stunning.

A 3-stage pearlescent, it look great in dull light although really pops when the sun comes out; I've painted a couple of vans this colour...

Personally I think Keswick Green is a great choice, subtle, very cool and period looking too. 8)

Was the abergine car in SVP an influence in your list of colours, it is a beauty.

My SC is in SVP and nearing completion, can't wait to get my hands on it to put a smile back to driving again.

I'm totally behind your statement about taking advantage of modern technology where it is sensible to do so.

Looking forward to seeing more of yours in the future.

We have just painted a 72 Narrow (ish) Body ST in Dolphin Grey. I will add a pic if that helps?
