I've been lurking for a few months and decided to 'join in'.
I hail from Sheffield and have been into air cooled Beetles since being a teenager. Which was a long time ago. In fact I still have my first car and it was featured in the December issue of Volksworld. I'm not new to forums and contribute to the 'LateBug.com' boards.
I suspect that, like quite a few 'Dubnuts', I've thought how nice it would be to own a 911 or other 'Dream car', but never got my feet wet. (I like to hang on to my cash
).I was an associate member of PCGB for 4/5years when Maggie was in power and have several books bought in the late '70s early '80s. However, time/things/life moves on and I thought I'd catch up and see if ownership is a viable proposition.
I like turning my own spanners etc. and so the later water cooled/technology cars probably won't be suitable. But I have an open mind at this point.
