Hi everybody,

Finally I discovered ddk!

I'm finally going to buy my restoration project 911 T and start my restoration thread.

I learned a lot reading your topics and comment, I studied books and handbook about 911 but I will need your advices and comments.

I already had restoration experience "nut& bolt" in the last 10 years with my old Vespas and a fantastic Innocenti Mini Cooper 1300 year 1972, doing all by ourselves (my brother is an enthusists too...) all except welding and painting

Hi everybody....many months rfom my presentation...but finally 911 in my garage!!
and something more to tell you

actually at the Beginning of January a 45hours trip to The Netherland and back to Italy (thanks to support of my brother both for driving and helping me in consultancy and examining cars ) and the dream came true! 911T 2,2 year 1970 to restore but running


yes Netherland...to a place that many of you know...


after one month the car arrived to Italy and we collect it to carry to a friend's garage(100km away from my city...)waiting for MY garage to be built


there She slept for months...apart for my visits to try to start the engine again (small and narrow street to climb to reach my house...running car only... and realize that the transporter trying to start the engine (and he was obviously NOT recommended to...): accelerator pedal blocked down, spark cable broken and carbs full of dirty coming from tank...


finally last sunday we went to collect it and to carry to my garage




Now it's time to switch to restoration threads session... I'll need all your comments, suggestions and advice

Ciao, complimenti! Although I can't see much from your pics, it looks like a US origin hot rodded. I'd build a R gruppe, taking it back to original conditions maybe too expensive and the final results not as fun as a street-prepped racer.

Fortunately the car is fast complete, and i will go for original restoration...both because to register car in Italy I need to pass through national historical club burocracy=means car strictly original... and I prefer the car original...or better with some nice feature ( steering wheel, front seats, sport muffler) just to get it smarter
