Been rather slow on the updates, largely because I've been too lazy (and still am) to upload any photos! The car is about ready to go into paint. The metalwork is all finished, and the front suspension painted and being refitted when I can get back down to the workshop. Once that's done, the car will be a roller again and I can get it up the road and into the hands of Graham Kidd who's now at R-to-RSR in Newton Abbott. Can't wait – Graham and Andy are so enthusiastic about the whole outlaw thing that I know it's going to be in safe hands. Still not 100 per cent decided on the colour – Leaf Green is still appealing, but I'm having second thoughts... Watch this space!

The wheels are done – not incredibly happy with them, though. Silver powder-coat is fine but there are some signs of sand-blasting grit trapped between the centres and the rims. Nobody else will notice, but I will. Not sure what to do but will run them to begin with. Tyres? Probably 195/65s all round – Dunlop Sport or Pirellis (for the looks... sorry). Wheels may make way for something else later, just don't know what. :?

Glassfibre bumper/valance mouldings from Tutthill were an 'OK' fit, but came with no fittings whatsoever, even at £675 the pair! Ouch... They look good on the car, though.

Engine? Will be fitted with R-to-RSR's 'natural finish' cooling tin, and the Jenvey throttle bodies are sitting on the floor behind me as I type. Bought the necessary coil pack and EDIS module off ebay. Just need the crank-trigger set-up and then it's ready to start fitting up. Just hope it works.

More soon...

Now that you mention it - a bit of polish, a few stickers, nice wheels - could work :P

Not sure about the silver stripes though! :?

Looking good Keith. Where did you get your wheels blasted and powder coated?

Thanks! The only update right now is to say that I have finally decided on a colour – and it's not Leaf Green after all! It's another period colour which I've only ever seen on two cars in the UK. A real love/hate colour and one which I think will look OK with the blacked-out trim. Or rather, I hope it will.

I hope to have a week's intensive work on the car soon – magazine schedules are so damned unforgiving, and working on two monthlies and one bi-monthly takes up far too much (play) time. :(
