1969 Targa Period car radio

Has anyone got a list of correct/OEM car radio's as fitted originally ?
My car is a 1969 Targa.
I guess Blaupunkt something, but might as well try to find the correct

Think I'm going to hunt down an broken unit to "modernise". Modern FM radio and 3.5mm jack input (CD/Mini Disk/MP3) Stereo amp.
Don't anyone get too excited.... Just thoughts at the moment.

Factory fitted 1969 according to Dr Johnson...

Bremen, AM/LW
Boston, AM (US Band)
Frankfurt, AM/FM/LW/SW
Frankfurt - US AM/FM
Koln, AM/FM/LW Signal Seeking
New Yorker, AM/FM/SW Signal Seeking (US Band)

Becker:
Monte Carlo, AM/LW

Philips:
AM/LW cassette

On this topic, I've been told that there's a firm out there taking much more modern radios as a basis,
then fitting them with with replica Frankfurt fronts.

Sounds like an ideal approach to me... but I've searched on the web, to no avail.

Anyone else heard of this?

Article in February Classic & Sports Car about a company called The Vintage Wireless Company http://www.vintagewireless.co.uk. Not cheap though. FM Conversion £325 & Input lead conversion £35.

ooo that's expensive..... I have found some very sweet DAB radio modules, with FM and RDS. Don't know how much they cost yet, but it does help to know how much people are willing to pay for a period, modernised radio.
