New Member - hello there

Post by SambaMav »

Hi,

Just a quick hello, I am the 'Mav' mentioned in Steve's racing 356 exploits.

My affliction currently sits steady at a

1957 VW Split Screen Samba with 944 brakes, 2.4 Type 4 engine with TwoBrother Racing 'Porsche style' heads and real 15" Fuchs.
1957 VW Oval with 356 A front drums and a 356 C engine.
2002 996 C4 in GT3 guise for modern Porsche fun and games

Currently building a Speedster rep, with 356 B brakes all round, chopped tunnel and another 356C engine (currently in a million pieces as everything is being checked, balanced etc.)

Basically can't leave anything alone, have to work/change my cars to feel like they are mine.

Hope to met some of you at Le Mans Classic, won't miss it for the world!

Welcome Mav from a fellow VW & Porsche owner.
Like the sound of your fleet - pleased to see the Oval - it is true a Porsche engine fits, apparently, it's only 4 bolts
