As James (Hot66) always says when considering selling his S: 'what would I replace it with?'

.. the 2.4S has come home to it's loving family ? :) ... or after spending time at the orphanage a new owner has come forward to care for it ?

Bet he gives it six months for us all to forget about the car and then Steve can 'find' it in a barn....

What do you take me for, Paul? An Oxfordshire based second hand car dealer? :)

Probably the car I most covet but, alas, Neil wouldn't give me quite as much as I needed for a p/x. :(

James, you have no idea how true this statement is but in the end I just couldn't go through with it. I feel like I've been missing a limb for this past year.

Jolly well done. Your perseverance had paid off.

It's always satisfying to get hold of a car you've been coveting for months but the custodian has been unwilling to part with it.   :)

Thanks Timo - I think so, too. 8)

A yellow 2.4 S with a brown interior?

Post by 210bhp »

At least I could follow all Helen's purchases and sales before she switched to facebook but you,Steve, and this thread in particular I just don't understand. It must be me, but it is still not clear to me who owns what and what car (if any) is now (or was ever) for sale either directly (or on commission) or was sold and then bought back or was traded for something or was the same yellow S as you had before (or was that lhd) or was never really for sale, just out there on a dealers (friend?) website to keep it warm and cost over the winter tucked up in a barn. :-(
Confused, that's me.

Regards
Mike

That about sums it up, Mike. I think. Believe me, it's been one long and equally confusing journey for me, too. :?

C'mon Andy, to be fair, that's correctly spelt. It's just the wrong word...
